Students

Student pictureWhat’s your idea of the average student?

Work – shy, coffee swilling, clueless, 18-20 something, chancers? ... think again...

Today’s students are very different and nothing like the stereotype perceived by many.

A typical profile of CJR selected students reveals their average age is 20-25 – many being ‘mature students’.  Most have years (not months) of relevant work experience, great IT skills, good communication skills (honestly), bags of common-sense and they really are reliable & willing – with an excellent work ethic.

Recent comments from those who dared...

“We were able to prepare all of our year end reports with her help....her data analysis skills were far beyond those of most of our own admin staff”

“We’ve used students for ‘peak work’ cover before but CJR’s people had such good skills and attitude, that our call centre re-booked them for the following year”.

“It was a great experience, he ‘hit the ground running’ and quickly completed the admin backlog, we then delegated all of those jobs which were on the back burner”

“The most reliable temp workers we have had, we would have offered them permanent jobs had they not been destined for greater things”

“A good secretary is hard to find, a great secretary came as a CJR student last summer and has helped us out regularly since”

Don’t batten down the hatches!

We know the deluge of students every year is overwhelming but this pool of skills and availability at relatively little cost (students are often willing to work for less than professional temps and we are willing to slash our margins to encourage bookings from you) is an opportunity too good to be missed.  Think about those jobs that your staff don’t have time to tackle; that research project that needs focus, spreadsheet updates and data analysis or simply neglected holiday cover.

Students – earning whilst learning

Driven by hefty tuition fees, students have to work too and, today, they know what businesses need.  Most exceed our clients’ expectations (many are retained longer-term) yet, every summer, we can never encourage enough companies to take advantage of the availability of this valuable labour resource.
