Working within our Industry
Working within the Education/Business Community
|
|
As a company, we have volunteered our services to aid the Croydon Education Business Partnership’s work with youngsters for many years. We are a founder member of and also subscribe to Croydon Commitment, a charity set up by a body of organisations committed to undertaking at least 3 tasks or community projects every year outside of their usual work. Every year we allow each member of staff up to two CSR days. This is company time that enables individuals to participate in not for profit work in the community. |
|
All staff joining Catherine Johnstone Recruitment are encouraged to consider participating in CSR activities. Whether it is assisting young people in skills workshops, teachers in work-shadowing programmes or running free training sessions for not-for profit organisations. In addition, the management have committed some of their time and skills to external bodies outside of Catherine Johnstone Recruitment (Croydon College Board Membership, CEBP Directorship, IIP, Croydon Commitment Board Membership etc). |
Working with Charitable Organisations
We have worked with a number of charitable organisations on a variety of projects including fund-raising, attending quizzes, abseiling, collecting monies for Rotary International, promoting health awareness and much more. Our budget of time and money varies each year according to specific need.
Environmental Impact
We have developed systems which help us cut down on the use of paper and we formally recycle paper and other consumables used in the course of our work. We use low-energy power sources where necessary and adhere to strict health & safety procedures and guidelines. For more details please see CJR & the Environment.
