Thousands upon thousands of satisfied applicants and temps have told us we're Croydon's leading recruitment agency. Clearly they've told others too because, as our reputation has grown, so have the number of people who ask us to help them find work.

Not surprisingly, our consultants here are amongst the most experienced in the area and we'll do our utmost to help find the right new job for you - click below to find out how

If you're considering registering for permanent work, here's how we can help you:

Make time to come and see us - we can't represent you unless we have met; calling ahead of your visit to arrange an appointment ensures one of our consultants is free with sufficient time to talk through your needs.

The Interview - during your interview with us, we will discuss your experience and skills and assess your particular strengths and weaknesses. More importantly though, we'll discuss the direction in which you wish your career to progress and explain how we believe we can help. We'll also be frank with you and give an honest opinion of your potential and helpful guidance on market conditions. You're free to ask for whatever advice you want - we are here to help.

After the Interview - the consultant with whom you are registered will draw up detailed notes, prepare a CV for our use and enter your details on our computerised database. We will then match your requirements with our vacancies, contacting you to discuss opportunities as they arise. The nature of our business makes it impossible to keep in touch with all our candidates on a regular basis. We therefore rely on you to keep us posted if there is a change in your circumstances. Please do let us know - it is only if we're kept in the picture that we can continue to represent you effectively.

The Job Search - whilst we work on several hundred positions at any one time, our clients normally have very specific requirements. This may mean we have nothing suitable straight away. Do be assured however, that you will be under active consideration for every new position and will be contacted when your career and job search criteria match our clients' specific needs. When your suitability for a position is established, we will contact you prior to dispatching your details - it is only in this way that we can protect your integrity. Unfortunately, there are other agencies who do not adhere to this practice and we strongly recommend that you do not give other agencies an "open brief". The results can be disastrous if your details are circulated around the area without your knowledge!

Placement - once we've made an appointment for you with a client, it's important we hear from you with your feedback after the interview. In turn, we will always contact you as soon as the client has made a final decision.

In conclusion - if you decide to register with us, we'll do our utmost to find you the right job and hope that you'll derive benefit from your association with us.

Our temporary workforce is one of the largest in the area and enjoys a reputation for being highly skilled and professional. If you're considering working as a temp, this is how we can help you:

Registering with us - during your interview with us we will discuss your experience, skills, individual needs and expectations. We'll then give you an honest opinion of our chances of being able to find you work before arranging tests and references from your last 2 employers. Finally, as we are keen to ensure you have the opportunity to develop your skills, we will discuss any cross training which may be of benefit to you and make the necessary arrangements to get this underway.

Waiting for your first booking - we will obviously try to find you work as soon as possible. However, as we are reliant upon the seasonal demands and needs of our client companies, sometimes it is difficult to predict when this will be. If we aren't able to offer work straight away, keep us posted if there are changes in your circumstances ie: sickness, holidays, work received through other agencies etc and we'll get you work as soon as we can.

Accepting your first booking - as suitable work becomes available, we will contact you to discuss the assignment. Where possible, we will always give you a background brief on the client company - information such as the nature of their business, their general work ethic and their expectations of you as a temporary employee. At this stage, we will also confirm the rate of pay, hours of work and the duration for that particular assignment. If you have any reservations about accepting a booking offered, please don't hesitate to discuss things with us - you are important to us and we are keen that all our temporary staff are happy and confident in their work.

During your bookings - out of sight is not out of mind! There will be the opportunity to talk to us every week when you phone through your hours or collect your pay. However, please ring us at any time if you have any questions or experience any difficulties. It may be that we can help with a software support issue -or if you're temping "between jobs" - help you find a permanent job.

When your booking is completed - whilst we visit most of our client companies, we do appreciate any comments you may have following your assignments. Were they friendly? Are the offices comfortable? Were you provided with sufficient information to allow you to complete your work quickly and effectively? And your feedback about how we're doing is important to us too!

Here at Catherine Johnstone Recruitment our temps are our most valuable asset upon whom our reputation rests. We want you to enjoy being a member of our professional, well trained and efficient team and enjoy a long and successful partnership with us.
